Senior Deputy General Manager, Taipei Strategic Consulting Company Limited
“We used our strengths in PR and event execution to create a wonderful anniversary celebration ”This year marks the 30th anniversary of SPRG and the 20th anniversary of the SPRG Taipei office. On this special occasion, our colleague Lily from Taipei looks back on the unforgettable moments of SPRG Taipei’s past anniversary celebrations, and shares the special experience of the office’s trip to Taitung this year.
In 2015, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Taipei office, we conceived and assisted the Hope Foundation For Cancer Care in organising the “Hair for Hope” campaign, where 100 people donated their hair to help patients who had lost their hair due to cancer treatment. On the day of the event, all colleagues from the Taipei office volunteered to help support and promote the gathering.
Lily: We used our strengths in public relations and event execution to create a wonderful anniversary celebration and fulfil our social responsibility and commitment to charity. It was a meaningful commemoration and a milestone for SPRG Taipei.
SPRG Taipei co-organised the “Thread of Life” event with the Hope Foundation For Cancer Care and Nan Shan Life Insurance Co., Ltd. Together, we demonstrated our creativity by hand-knitting scarves to give to cancer patients and their caregivers. We also invited many KOLs, celebrities, and influencers to join us in this event, hoping to raise awareness and spread love to cancer patients and their caregivers.
Lily: When the company decided to organise the “Thread of Life” event, it was very meaningful to us. As SPRG has always been committed to PR promotion in the fields of health and medicine, this activity allowed us to show our support for cancer patients, their families, and caregivers. Every stitch and every loop was very meaningful to me.
This year marks both the 20th anniversary of SPRG Taipei and the 30th anniversary of the Group. To celebrate, the Taipei office organised a sustainable travel experience tour in Hualien, Taitung in January this year. SPRG Chairman Richard Tsang and our Taiwan colleagues were invited to explore the Hualien and Taitung regions and experience the concept of sustainable travel.
Lily: During the three-day, two-night trip, I had many experiences and breakthroughs, including the following:
Ziplining Experience: Despite having a fear of heights, I managed to overcome it and enjoyed an amazing ziplining experience between two mountains.
Understanding Indigenous Lifestyles and Practising Sustainable Travel Concepts: The indigenous people make great use of the forest's wild resources and cook seasonal local foods. We tasted hand-grabbed rice made by the tribe together.
Exploring Mountain Trails and Experiencing a Journey for the Five Senses: During the process, we walked alone the mountain path with our eyes closed, listened to the sounds of the sea and mountains, and used our senses of smell, touch, and taste to participate in team-building activities.
Climbing Warrior Rock: This was another breakthrough in overcoming my fear of heights, as I stood on the edge of a cliff and enjoyed the beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.
Engaging in Wilderness Activities and Making a Hunter’s Knife in the Mountain Forest: This trip has provided truly rare and valuable experiences!
